Itinerary 19: Kent

Kent fully justifies a second itinerary within our most popular range of itineraries amongst clients, with this itinerary featuring Canterbury Golf Club as well as the wonderful links at Littlestone Golf Club. Canterbury Golf Club opened for play in 1927 on 160 acres of land leased from the War Office. Designed by the renowned course architect Harry Colt, the 180hole course boasts several areas given SSSI status by Natural England. Over many years, the original heathland nature of the course has altered with the introduction of huge expanses of trees. The resulting mature woodland with its carpet of bluebells in spring and wide variety of wildlife all year round, make this an uplifting place to play golf. Prince’s Golf Club as mentioned previously, is steeped in history, and is one of the best links courses in the south of England. Littlestone Golf Club, founded in 1888, is recognised as being one of the top 100 courses in England and indeed one of the top links courses in the whole of Great Britain and Ireland. An itinerary which is full of immense quality, and yet which remains affordable. For the accommodation, we use the Pegwell Bay Hotel, which has a cliff-top location in Ramsgate, with stunning panoramic views over the English Channel.
