Itinerary 8: South Wales
This itinerary ventures further west into South Wales, playing the ever popular Ashburnham links course as well as the two grandest courses on the Gower Peninsular, Pennard and Langland Bay. Golf has been played Pennard since 1896 and owes most of its appeal today first to James Braid and then to C.K. Cotton. Often described as the ‘links in the sky’, the course is always one of the most raved about playing experiences by clients. Langland Bay is a less formidable challenge than Pennard but provides 18 memorable holes in the most sublime coastal setting. The hotel for this itinerary is the 4-star Village Swansea Hotel, located in the heart of Swansea, and ideally placed to explore the cosmopolitan City.
